Chapel of St. Valburga

The Baroque chapel was built by Bedrich Desfours in 1775, and is dedicated to St. Valburga who lived in the 8th century. She isn’t well known in Bohemia, but is much better known in Germany, where she established monasteries. She came from an old aristocratic Anglo-Saxon family and supported the poor, helped orphans, and contributed gifts to the building of churches. She also protected women after childbirth, as well as farmers.
